In defense of blogs: Around Journalism

Michael Massing, writing in the New York Review of Books, recently took an in-depth look at blogs, their detractors and their effect on the news industry. He also notes that the industry lost 26,000 jobs in the last 18 months, more than five times what I cited in my commencement speech post over the weekend. Massing’s article is worth a read.
